New, more user-friendly Microsoft Office style interface
The familiar "snapshot" Case Look Up
screen is now more convenient to handle.
To sort the cases by a column just click on the
column header.
The Acts and Sections are displayed on the main
screen; double-click the Section to see the text as of the
Assessment Year.
Icons beside the Reference indicate whether a
case has been affirmed or overruled or was taken on for special
leave petition. Right-click on the case to see which case affirmed
or overruled.
Cited cases are also shown in Explorer
style allowing you to sort by the annotation.
Cases with commentary will appear in
BOLD in the output panel. Double-click to view the commends.
Set the font and background colour for
headnote and catchwords to enhance readability.
You may keep open as many resizable
headnote or catchword windows as you want; moreover when you set the
pushpin button "on" on a headnote window, the contents are
automatically refreshed as the selected case changes.
A new group search allows you specify
a number of search options in one screen to instantly take you to
the precise set of cases. This may preclude the necessity to use the
shortlist option.
New word search allows you to search
for any word or phrase occurring in the case text; or shortlist your
search result by cases containing the text you enter.
You can set bookmarks in catchwords,
headnotes or judgments; append a memo to it and recall them any
time.
Section-wise search now has an option
to search by sub-sections.
Reference-wise search allows you to
select multiple cases or all cases from multiple volumes.
The complete A.N. Aiyar's Indian Tax
Laws is available in Internet Explorer style browser view.
The printing option now allows you to
print to a paper of any size besides letting you select a text or a
rich-text format as the output file type.
Judgments can be viewed with or
without the original ITR line breaks.
You can have the text of multiple
sections open at the same time.
A new Auto-Compare feature allows you
to compare the text of a section in two different years to see the
amendments — shown in a different color — during that time interval.
Circulars and Notifications now appear
in the Windows Explorer style allowing you to resize column widths
and sort on the columns.
Search for circulars/notifications by
sub-section too.
ITR OnLine now includes Tribunal
Decisions.
